A Cause for Paws! Pagosa Fun! and Rugby’s Rescue House, a local dog rescue, (www.rugbysrescue.com) would like to invite you to an exciting family friendly event! We are hosting the Second Annual “Brews for Rescues” Beer Fest, SW Colorado’s first Dog-Centric beer fest that is just as much for your dog as it is for you! On Saturday, April 29, 2023, the region’s favorite breweries will come to Pagosa Springs, Colorado to showcase some of their best craft-beer and raise money for Rugby’s Rescue House, an amazing non-profit organization. Enjoy beer from Eddyline, Ska, Marble Brewing, Second Street Brewing, Breckenridge Brewing and many more! Rugby’s Rescue is a small non-profit rescue dedicated to “Rescuing, Saving, and Repeating” the process. Their main focus is rescuing dogs from surrounding Native American Reservations, where the growing dog population has been a big problem. The event will be hosted at Yamaguchi Park in Pagosa Springs, CO along the San Juan River with sweeping views of the San Juan Mountains. The day starts at noon with a community dog walk. Chimney Rock National Monument lies within the San Juan National Forest, between Pagosa Springs and Durango, encompassing 4,726 acres, preserving hundreds of prehistoric sites that dot the landscape around the twin spires. A sacred place that celebrates the life of Ancestral Puebloans over 1000 years ago. Open 7 days a week, May 15-October 14. Programs range in price from $5-$25. May 20th The Cloman Kicker is a 5k trail race that takes place in Cloman Park on the single track in the western part of the park and then winds in and around the disc golf course in the eastern part of the park. You’ll enjoy a few fun climbs and rewarding downhill bombers while exploring all the Cloman Park has to offer. The 2k trail race follows the first mile or so of the 5k course and is more of a fun run geared towards youth. More Info HERE Register HERE
